Carnegie Quiz
Carnegie Mellon Quiz Bowl is pleased to announce Carnegie Quiz II, to be held at our Pittsburgh campus on Saturday, February 16, 2019. We will be using NAQT IS-181, including computational math tossups and bonuses.
Registration: To register, please fill out the form at the link below or email us at cmuquizbowl@gmail.com. There is a soft cap of 24 teams, with the ability to expand pending interest and staff. Registration will close on Saturday, February 9, 2019, a week before the tournament.
Fees and Discounts:
Condition Fee/Discount
First Team $75
Each additional team $60
Each working* buzzer set -$10
Each experienced moderator -$10
* Buzzers must have at least eight functional units to receive discount; moderators should be experienced.
Minimum fee per team is $40.
Format: We will be using standard NAQT rules, including timed rounds, at this tournament.
Lunch: We will break for lunch after the morning session. Within a five-minute walk from campus there are several eateries on Craig Street. With a slightly longer walk, there is a significantly larger selection further down Forbes Avenue towards Pitt.
